Late nights and even earlier mornings

Ever feel like you been awake so long that your not sure if you had a late night or a really early morning, well this is what I have been suffering from. My pumpkin wakes at about mid night and we are up just about all night.

I sit here typing now as my fiance sleeps blissfully unaware that our pumpkin is in her cot crying refusing to go to sleep, it is too hot for cuddles with her, If I pick her up she pinches and slaps me because of the heat she does not want a cuddle. SO I do all the things they say a good mother should do, try to console baby, cuddle baby, feed baby, check babies nappy, nothing is wrong except it is hot. I don't know how long this will go on for tonight but I Suspect it is going to be another long one

Bubbles and Poo

So Today really was no different to any other. We have a shared back yard and we share it with a 2 year old, 3 cats and a dog. My neighbors 2 year old is obsessed with bubbles so every afternoon we go outside and watch my neighbor create bubbles for her little boy.

My Pumpkin just loves to go and watch the back yard fill up with bubbles and giggles so hard when one lands on her. This happened today only when she giggled she also pooped and not just an ordinary poo this was an all out explosion requiring special attention. Note to self do not hold your little one tight while she is laughing.

I took her inside to start the clean up process I get her cleaned up enough so that i put her in the bath, bath her and get her clean.

Lets just say I wont be holding her so tight when i take her out side tomorrow to watch the bubble show

Breat Milk V's Formula

Now I know I am opening a can of worms here, but now that pumpkin is 5 months old I have decided to switch to formula.

So Hear I am day 4 into weaning pumpkin and it has not been as easy as I thought it would be. I am waking up with such sore boobs from going all night with out breast feeding, I am still breast feeding the first feed of the day and normally one in the afternoon.

The reason that I have decided to switch to formula is due to on going issue's with breastfeeding, plus pumpkin has worked out how to bite and pinch while feeding and I can tell you this is not fun at all. so if anyone happens to read this and has any tips for helping weaning please let me know.

On a plus side she is sleeping much better going up to 10 hours straight on breast milk she was only going 4 hours max so mummy and daddy are getting some more sleep as well. Plus her reflux is so much better she was spewing after every feed and this has been reduced to maybe 1 spew up a day.

I hope that pumpkin will be fully weaned within a month
